On May 17th we were guests of the Nowy Sącz PTTK (Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society). History of the ghetto was told by Łukasz Połomski.

On April 29th, 2016 we remembered the victims of the massacre in the Nowy Sącz ghetto. On this day we have also promoted a book and a movie about Jewish people of Nowy Sącz.

Anna Grygiel–Huryn, Kazimiera and Józef Jarosz – new Honorary Ambassadors of the Shtetl of Tsanz On March 6th we gave them the commemorative statuettes and our Heros met with Sącz residents.

On January 27th we payed tribute to the Victims of the Holocaust. We have also remembered the anniversary of KL Auschiwtz - Birkenau liberation Thank you for being with us, for lighting candles.

On January 17th we met in the Railway Church in Nowy Sącz. 2nd Day of Judaism was organized together with Attic Academic Priesthood.

In the last year we have organized a number of educational events. Our walks have been joined by about 400 young people, about 300 participated in conferences and lectures – we thank schools and teachers for cooperation.

In the last year we have shown you religious Jewish life – from birth to the grave. We have learned about the customs related with birth, we discovered the meaning of bar-mitzva, marriage and brought back traditions connected with funerals. Thank you for being with us!

In November we remember our dearly departed. In last year we have bid farewell to many people who greatly contributed to the deepening of Polish-Jewish relations. Many of them were connected with Sądecczyzna. We believe that for their deeds there is a reward waiting there, on the other side...

Like every year, thousands of chasidim visited Nowy Sącz in the beginning of April. Night from April 13th to 14th marked the yahrzeit – anniversary of death of the great rabbi Chaim Halberstam. Jewish people believe, that on that night holy rabbi descends from heaven to collect their petitions and present them to God himself.

On December 16th, on the fourth anniversary of his death, we have lit candles under the plaque dedicated to Jakub Muller. The plaque, unveiled a year ago, reminds us of this remarkable figure of the last Jewish resident of Sącz, who took care of the relics left by those of his faith and and of our memory of them. On November 14th and 16th, 2015 second part of the Autumn Yeshiva educational-cultural programme took place. Together with Ada Sari Culture and Arts Centre in Stary Sącz we have organized a series of events dedicated to the Jewish history and culture.

For the second time we have organized an initiative dedicated to the commemoration of forgotten necropoles of Sącz.

Thanks to you candles were lit on the old Jewish cemetery and Evangelical cemetery. They are a sign of respect and remembrance of the people who helped build our city throughout several centuries. Until November 2nd residents of Sącz have also visited the cemetery at Rybacka str.

We are very happy that the number of candles lit almost tripled since 2013. Thank you very much!

On September 28th we met in the "Old Synagogue" Gallery in Nowy Sącz to learn about another Jewish holiday. This time we've met traditions and message of Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashanah.

On September 14h, 2014 the first Autumn Yeshiva programme started, organized together by Ada Sari Culture and Arts Centre in Stary Sącz, Nomina Rosae Foundation and The Shtetl of Tsanz.

Within the programme Jewish dances workshops led by Dorota Herok (in the Youth Palace in Nowy Sącz) and a concert of a legendary band from Kraków, Kroke (in the concert-room of the Ada Sari Culture and Arts Centre in Stary Sącz) took place.

On Friday, 6/27/2014 the premiere of "The Shtetl of Tsanz" short documentary dir. by Barbara Szewczyk took place. The documentary is the first film production of the Nomina Rosae Foundation and was created within the historical programme of the same name, led by historian Łukasz Połomski.

1st walk in footsteps of Jewish people of Sącz took place on May 11th, 2014. It was led by a historian Łukasz Połomski – the participants visited the old synagogue, Jagiellońska street and Bajs Nusn synagogue together.

March 16th, 2014, on Sunday, at 5:00 PM in the Old Synagogue Gallery in Nowy Sącz a new event series – "Meeting Jewish Holidays" – was inaugurated. The programme included interesting discussions, art corner for the youngest, purim sweets and the "Secret of Esther" theatre play by the Nomina Rosae Theatre. See the photo gallery!
